“Mentoring a Girl in Construction” (M.A.G.I.C.) Camp is a free, weeklong day camp designed to introduce high school girls ages 14-19 to exciting careers in construction. M.A.G.I.C. Camp offers girls the opportunity to learn about the countless avenues of employment available to women in the construction industry and to engage in hands-on training in basic construction skills. Each attendee will get their open pink hard hat and complete a project to take home. Girls will enjoy a celebratory banquet at the end of the week with their classmates and parents. This camp is designed to allow girls to: * Explore and develop basic skills in the area of carpentry, electrical, and other various trade skills in a gender neutral environment * Develop greater self-confidence and better self-esteem * Be introduced to women role models who have achieved success in the construction industry * Learn more about NAWIC Founders Scholarship Fund (NFSF) and tradeswomen scholarship information. Attendees must provide their own transportation to and from camp daily. Lunch will be provided. Space is limited, so early registration is strongly encouraged.
