"Smoke on the Mountain"
Main Street Theatre in Tucker's first musical production, "Smoke on the Mountain," has long been an audience favorite at community theatres across the country. The two-act musical comedy is set in 1938 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where the traveling gospel bluegrass group, the Sanders Family, is performing at the Saturday Night Gospel Sing. In between their bluegrass renditions of nearly 30 gospel numbers, members of the family share their life experiences in an effort to be inspirational. But one thing after another goes awry, and they end up revealing their hilariously imperfect true selves and in the process impart important lessons about life, love and family.
