Atlanta Post Polio Association

The Atlanta Post Polio Association will meet Saturday, April 1 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum located at 441 Freedom Parkway, Atlanta. The public and post polio survivors are invited to attend Countdown to Zero: Defeating Polio. The exhibit was created by the American Museum of Natural History in collaboration with the Carter Center. The exhibit highlights diseases on the brink of being wiped out. Events planned for the exhibit include a film about the last March of Dimes Poster Child, Pam Henry. Author Kaye Minchew will discuss her book about FDR in Georgia. The special event pricing is $6 for adults and children 16 and under free. The event as brought to Atlanta by Arthur Blank Family Foundation, the Trailsend Foundation and the Turner Foundation.
