Insure GA to host Atlanta enrollment event as part of #GetCoveredGA tour

Atlanta, GA –On Saturday, December 3rd, Insure GA will be hosting an enrollment event to help get residents of Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas access to high quality, affordable health coverage. Licensed navigators will be on hand to provide education on health coverage options, answer any questions about individuals’ needs, and enroll interested consumers in a plan that works for them. With several major health insurance carriers dropping out of the Health Insurance Marketplace, it is important that consumers know exactly what they are signing up for. From specific medicines to specialists, Insure GA’s navigators can provide insight on exactly what each plan covers.

This Atlanta event is 1 of 9 stops in Insure GA’s #GetCoveredGA statewide tour. Because the U.S. Census Bureau estimates that the rate of uninsured in Atlanta’s 18-64-year-olds range from approximately 23% to almost 30%, Insure GA sees Atlanta as a priority in its mission to get Georgians covered. Across Georgia, Insure GA, along with its partner entities, will be educating and enrolling thousands of Georgia’s uninsured throughout the Open Enrollment period. Open enrollment runs from November 1st through January 31st. The event is open to the public and the media is encouraged to attend.

Insure GA is a statewide, CMS funded navigator entity that is dedicated to engaging and educating in an effort to empower Georgians to become active participants in their health. Through strategically placed navigators, a virtual call center, and partnerships with community-focused organizations, reputable organizations, Insure GA is able to cover the state with its services to ensure that Georgians have the information they need to choose an affordable health coverage plan that fits their needs.
