The Dillard House is partnering with Southbound Brewing Company from Savannah, Georgia to host a beer-pairing dinner called “Brew and Crew” on July 22nd as part of its centennial celebration. “We’ve created a unique evening of food that shows how pairing beer and food is sweeping the country,” said Smith Mathews, Brewmaster and managing partner of Southbound Brewing Company. The Dillard House is an iconic farm to table family owned business located in Dillard, Georgia less than a 2 hour drive north on I-85 to I-985. The location is a perfect weekend getaway for Atlanta beer, food and country music fans.
The booming craft beer scene in Atlanta and through north Georgia demonstrates interest in learning about and tasting various styles of beer. “I’m excited to showcase my beers in the north Georgia mountains because they are refreshing, have underlying citrus notes and will be a perfect summertime treat for guests to enjoy with The Dillard House’s delicious food.” Mathews promises an informative, fun, entertaining evening with the help of Justin Dukes and bandmates who will entertain after the beer paired dinner.
Dukes is a Georgia native and rising Nashville star that was named the 2015 Georgia Country Music Awards Male Artist of the Year. “I am confident Dukes is a performer you’ll be seeing on the AMC Awards before we know it,” says Natalie Dillard Cross, Sales and Marketing Manager of The Dillard House. Dukes has opened for artists such as Vince Gill, Charlie Daniels, Justin Moore, Big & Rich and A Thousand Horses. He has played at the world famous Blue Bird Café in Nashville. His voice is like no other in country music and his writing ability reaches all ages in the country music genre. www.justindukes.net
