The German American Cultural Foundation (GAC-Foundation) is proud to put on the first ever authentic German Christkindl Market in Atlanta. This outdoor holiday festival with free admission will be a traditional German Christmas in Central Park at Atlantic Station. Nuremberg, Germany is the oldest site for a Christkindl Market in Europe dating back to 1697 and is the inspiration for the ambiance that will be created. In the month of December, Central Park at Atlantic Station will be magically transformed into a Christmas village of wooden booths who will be selling imported German food & beverages as well as handmade Christmas ornaments and one-of-a-kind gift items. Vendors from Germany will showcase their finest products such as chocolate confectionaries, pastries, marzipan, gingerbread and more. The delicious sweet smell of mulled wine and hot chocolate will fill the air and warm the crowd on chilly days.
