Heart Hunters is the current name for the duo formed by Brianna McGeehan, a Portland, Oregon native, and Drew de Man, who grew up in Georgia. Their voices blend in richly hued harmony, wrapping themselves around songs of love and loss, spiritual yearning, and social justice. Their luscious harmonies are often decorated with South American drum or pedal steel, reflecting their sojourn in South America and immersion in the Andean culture. Drew’s music is influenced by roots music, country blues, string band, classic country, and rock-n-roll, while Brianna was raised on Beethoven and classic rock and influenced by Celtic folk music. They previously performed as Pretend Sweethearts and are currently based in Atlanta. An open mic session between sets provides an opportunity for local musicians to share their talents. The Underground Coffeehouse is held on the 4th Saturday of each month.
