GA Metro Dance Theatre’s “Dancing With the Stars of Marietta”
Presented by Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre
Georgia Metro Dance Theatre, a non-profit student-based company located within the studios of Georgia Dance Conservatory, is hosting a 4th Annual Dancing with the Stars of Marietta, a fundraiser on Saturday, January 27that 7:00 p.m. at The Earl & Rachel Smith Strand Theatre.
Twelve local celebrities have been paired with each other, to perform a dance number during our fundraiser event. Last year, our celebrity dancers wowed the crowd with their impressive dance moves, as they competed for the coveted mirror ball trophy, in a sold out theatre. Patrons can support the arts locally, and help GMDT continue to provide quality dance performances, such as Dracula, The Nutcracker and The Wolf, The Swan & The Princess, to the community throughout the year!
Community support will help make this fundraiser event a huge success. Support from donations and sponsorships go directly to Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre, which is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, where approximately 170 local dancers train year round in our studios located on the Historic Marietta Square, to perform in three quality ballet productions each year. The GMDT Company consists of dancers from area schools ranging in age from seven through eighteen, many of whom are honor students at their respective schools.
Tickets range in price from $20 to $55, and can be purchased on The Earl & Rachel Smith Strand website at www.earlsmithstrand.org
