Still Point is a formal, non-profit art gallery located in North Atlanta. We are pleased to announce an exhibit featuring the work of Japanese artist Sadao Watanabe (1913-1996), Japan’s foremost print artist of the 20th century. Watanabe made a distinctive contribution to Japanese mingei art, cutting all his stencil patterns by hand and printing his images on handmade sheets of washi and momigami paper. His works can be found in the permanent collections of the British Museum, New York’s Museum of Modern Art, The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, and the Vatican Museum of Modern Religious Art.
Still Point is hosting a free and public gallery event November 17 from 7-9 pm with a lecture on Sadao Watanabe’s life and work presented by art historian and collector Sandra Bowden. RSVP with number of guests to email@example.com. Read more about the exhibit on our website: http://stillpointarts.org.
