From Monday, September 25 through Sunday, October 1, the American Association of Women will bring AAUW's 58th Annual Bookfair to the Dillard's wing of Perimeter Mall. Over 60,000 gently used hardback and paperback books of all genres, DVD's and hundreds of classical and contemporary LP's will be priced to sell. Most are under $3.00.
AAUW is a nationwide network of more than 100,000 members whose mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. The proceeds of the Bookfair support AAUW's mission and are made possible through the thousands of hours donated by member volunteers who provide every necessary task during the year including collecting book donations from across the city; sorting, pricing and storing books; designing and setting up the Bookfair; and providing clerical, cashiering, sales and accounting support during the Bookfair.
The Bookfair will be open during Mall hours after opening night on Monday, September 25 which begins at 7:00 p.m. and has become a favorite among local booksellers. Only opening night requires a $10.00 admission fee.
