Rare Opportunity! Grower Champagnes are individual growers that have decided against selling their “juice” to the big Champagne houses and opt instead to make their own sparkling wines. Only 5% of the Champagne imported into the US is Growers Champagne. They’re scarce… hard-to-come by. Most people will never have the opportunity to purchase any because they just aren’t found in most retail stores.
Why should you drink them? You should drink them if you’d rather have a wine expressive of vineyard, and the grower’s own connection to vineyard than a wine “formed’ by the mega-conglomerate Champagne Houses whose main goal is to make their Champagnes taste exactly the same…year after year. You should drink Grower Champagne if the individual distinctive flavors of terroir driven wines matter to you. You should drink it because it’s honest REAL wine grown and made by a vintner – by a family just like yours – by a “him or her” not an “it”… because it’s better to buy a wine from a person than a company. You should drink it because it’s price is based on what it costs to produce, not manipulated to account for massive PR and ad budgets, or to hold on to market share. You should drink it because you like the vineyards’ stories and you like something different, and serving something different and unusual to your friends and family.
