Cooking Thanksgiving Dinner? Fall Harvest Dinner? Maybe you are even taking on a Holiday Buffet or Christmas Dinner Party. Whether we've done it many times before or this is our first time, we can all be inspired by new ideas without adding stress to the recipe.
Rebecca Wood, “Studio Mama” and head of hospitality and baking kitchen for multi-platinum GRAMMY-award winning artist Zac Brown, at his recording studio, Southern Ground Nashville will be co-hosting a holiday cooking class at The Learning Kitchen on Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Class attendees will be preparing the following:
· Skillet Cornbread – made from real organic corn meal. Attendees will also receive an accompanying recipe on how to turn this into the traditional cornbread dressing.
· Cranberry Apple Chutney – goes great with that Thanksgiving Turkey but happily accompanies any meat or cheese. Attendees will also learn how to safely can this Chutney for holiday gift giving.
· Pie Crust to Apple Galette – After creating their crust, attendees will see how easy it is to turn that pie crust into a tempting Apple Galette.
Twenty percent (20%) of the proceeds for this class will be donated to Zac’s non-profit passion project Camp Southern Ground located in Fayetteville, Georgia. Tickets are $100.
