Yep. Singer/Songwriter Maya Neiada has been steadily serving up this tailor-made, genre-fused cocktail, quenching the thirst of indie music lovers both nationally and abroad. This 'Neo-Soul-Siren-from-the-South' is steadily carving her niche, creating a buzz and blazing a trail underground so hot it is only a matter of time before she emerges in the mainstream. Born in the Bronx but raised in South Carolina, Maya Neiada's interest in music began at an early age. She recalls her parents' large, multi-genre collection of music being played on the weekends while she and her sisters did their chores. She states "It included all the good stuff - Stevie Wonder, Queen, Aretha Franklin, EWF, The Commodores, The Emotions, Dan Fogleberg, Modern Jazz Quartet, Teena Marie, and Barbara Streisand to name a mere few."
Sempre Soul was formed in early 2015 by Max Turner, guitarist, and Bryan Stanton, percussionist, in Rex, GA. They worked together as a duo for months before they found another gutarist, Scott Samson, to continue fill to out their sound. In September 2015 the band then known as Sans Frontieres had a huge milestone, they recorded their intrumental demo. After reaching that goal they realized the music they created was unique and could be a amazing addition to the Atlanta metro music scene. Nearing the end of 2015 they were auditioning vocalists to add to their developing sound. Kim Claiborne auditioned in October, and after a few trial practices the three members decided that her voice could add something unexpected to their alternative rock/ bluesy/ funk sound. The last piece the to their musical puzzle was a bassist, Kevin Dong. After a long and extensive search he joined in January of 2016. With the completed band came a new name and thus Sempre Soul was created.
