At 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, fun-loving spirits light up the Atlanta sky at Midtown Boo & Brew, an outdoor Halloween celebration open to everyone. Expect an evening of ghoulish delights, including a free screening of “Hocus Pocus,” a Halloween dance party, food, beer, wine, and a costume contest with prizes. It takes place at the corner of Peachtree Street and 4th Street on the grounds of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.
Midtown Boo & Brew begins with a bone-rattling soundtrack of Halloween dance favorites, from “Thriller to “Time Warp.” For a $10 donation, guests can nosh on pizza and tip back as many as two glasses of beer or wine. Acclaimed drag queen Uma Stephens hosts a costume contest with a $100 restaurant gift card for the winner.
