PADV Hosts 8th Annual Teen Summit

WHAT: Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV), Georgia's first, largest and most experienced nonprofit working to end domestic violence, will host its 8th annual Teen Summit on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Primerica Headquarters in Duluth. The Summit will empower teens to maintain healthy and safe relationships. Teens and adults will have the opportunity to learn about the issue of teen dating violence, how to address it and the role parents and youth serving adults can play in helping youth establish healthy relationships. WHO: PADV is an organization that has served metro Atlanta since 1977 and is currently the largest nonprofit domestic violence agency in Georgia. Their mission is to end the crime of intimate partner violence and empower its survivors. PADV helps to transform the lives of approximately 20,000 women and children every year through emergency intervention, education, violence prevention and long?term advocacy. Teens Against Dating Violence Advisory Board (TADV) is an opportunity for teens to have their voices heard. The goal is to empower teens to take a stand against dating violence in their communities and through social networking sites. Teens who are selected to serve on the TADV Advisory Board acquire volunteer experience, leadership skills and increased knowledge of social issues.
