PAINT QUICK COMPETITION                                                                                                    

Sunday, April 29th 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM in the Artists Village, Olmsted Linear Park

 The Paint Quick is a plein air painting competition, exhibit and sale that is open to anyone who wishes to participate. Up to 200 people --- competition painters, professionals, enthusiasts and the simply adventurous --- compete and have fun. Artists have only two hours to complete their works. During this short time, all registered Paint Quick participants will set up their easels and paint or draw en plein air in the Atlanta Olmsted Linear Park.

PAINTINGS WILL BE JUDGED AND AWARDS GIVEN IN THREE CATEGORIES:

1. 2018  COMPETION ARTISTS
2. PROFESSIONAL AND ENTHUSIASTIC ARTISTS
3. STUDENTS* ( Grades 9-12 through Graduate School)
   Each student must bring his/her easel and all materials needed to paint that day

*Scholarships are available for high school and college students 30 scholarships are available. At check-in on April 29th , scholarship students will receive art supplies valued at approximately $250+

REGISTRATION

ON-LINE REGISTRATION IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED.  
        Registration is $25.00 (non-refundable, event will take place rain or shine)                        

SUNDAY WALK UP REGISTRATION: 
       $50.00 cash and will only be accepted if capacity has not been reached

SATURDAY, APRIL 28, 2018:

• On-site registration begins at 10:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM (at Olmsted Linear Park until capacity is reached)
• Practice Paint Quick at TBD

SUNDAY, APRIL 29, 2018:

• 7:45 AM:  CHECK-IN for Paint Quick registrants     
• 9:00 AM:  COMPETITION BEGINS at the sound of the horn and ends at 11:00 AM
• 11:30 AM:  JUDGING BEGINS  The paintings will be exhibited on the easels in a designated spot    
• 12:30 PM:  JUDGES AWARDS will be presented
• 2:30 PM:  All unsold paintings will be removed at 2:30 PM

SUNDAY WALK UP REGISTRATION: 
$50.00 cash and will only be accepted if capacity has not been reached

AWARDS

2018 Olmsted Plein Air Invitational Competing Artists Paint Quick winner will receive an automatic consideration for the 2019 Olmsted Plein Air Invitational

2018 PAINT QUICK REGISTRANT AWARDS:

• 1st PLACE — $400
• 2nd PLACE— $300 
• 3rd PLACE— $200   
• BEST STUDENT— $100

NOTE: All artists may sell paintings created during the Paint Quick Event

ALL SALES MUST BE PROCESSED THROUGH THE OLMSTED PLEIN AIR INVITATIONAL SALES SYSTEM.
