Pan Under the Stars: Pan People Steelband's 30th-Year Reunion and Showcase

Pan Under the Stars, Atlanta’s number one steelpan concert returns to Decatur on Saturday, December 3, 2016, after an eight year hiatus

The line-up for this year’s concert includes Pan People Steelband, Pansonics, and steelpan soloists Nicholas Mohan, Bayo Bello and Kerwin (4-Cents) Burke, from Charlotte, NC. Sound System by DJ Ibis International and Host, Kenneth Zakee, completes the ticket.

The previous Pan Under the Stars was held on May 28, 2008. The economic downturn took a toll on Pan People Steelband’s activities in Atlanta. Additionally, several of the group’s young players went off to college. (Pan People strives for excellence in all that it does. Student members of the group are required to maintain a B average in their school work.)

The group is well known for its performances and steelpan productions in the Atlanta area. Over the years they have featured some of the top steelpan players including Ken “Professor” Philmore, Earl Brooks, Andy Narrell, Earl Rodney, Ras Steadman “Iginga” Joseph, and Ron Reid.

Among the performers carded for 2017 is Iman Pascal, Garvin Blake and Leon Foster Thomas and Despers USA.
