Feel the call of the wind and water this summer at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. Join us July 22nd for a brand new Saturday @the Rock session, Sailing 101. Rock Eagle’s waterfront staff will educate participants on parts of the boat and how to navigate in open water. You will learn sailing terms such as boom, daggerboard, tack, and jibe. Hoist the sails and get ready to explore beautiful Rock Eagle Lake. Rock Eagle’s picturesque scenery provides the perfect opportunity to see ospreys, turtles, fish, and other exciting wildlife.
Advanced registration for this program is required and cost is $3.00 per person. Program will run 8:30pm-1:00pm. If you would like to attend, please email for a sailing time slot. Space is limited. Open to all ages, 2 person limit in each sailboat. All sailing equipment will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a towel. Guests will convene at the administration building preceding the program. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your assigned time. You can pay cash or check when you arrive.
