The Georgia Mountain Storytelling Festival

This two-day celebration of story and song features roots and folk music legend John McCutcheon, children's literature author and noted storyteller Carmen Agra Deedy, hilarious spinner of tall tales, Bil Lepp, historic character interpretation by Sheila Arnold Jones, including a special presentation about Zora Neale Hurston funded by the Georgia Humanities Council, and Cherokee tales and songs by Matthew Tooni. The Story Express, brought to us by The Craddock Center, will be distributing free books to children on Saturday. Browse our Marketplace for CDs, books, and organic produce. Enjoy the rich history of storytelling in our region and beyond and become a part of its presentation.
