Gwinnett County children, parents, business and community leaders will come together to collectively raise awareness about the significance of afterschool programs at a free Lights On Afterschool rally October 26 from 5:30pm – 8:00pm at E.E. Robinson Park (650 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Sugar Hill, GA 30518).
Live Healthy Gwinnett and Gwinnett Parks and Recreation will be hosting this year’s Neverland themed Walk Among the Stars event that is open for all ages to attend. Children and adults are strongly encouraged to dress as their favorite Neverland character and enjoy an evening filled with interactive games, STEAM/STEAM activities, inflatables, a scholastic book fair, train rides, food trucks, and much more. This event will also feature the first Mobile Sports Medicine and Concussion Care-A-Van of its kind nationwide. Community partners involved in this year’s Walk Among the Stars event include: Live Healthy Gwinnett, JM Tull Gwinnett YMCA, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, GUIDE, Inc., Gwinnett 4-H, Keen Academy, Whiz Learning Kids, Success Martial Arts Academy, Discovery Point, and additional Gwinnett county government divisions.
