The Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History will host a unique public lecture titled "The Andrews Raid" in honor of the anniversary of the Great Locomotive Chase, in partnership with the Kennesaw Historical Society and Civil War historian, Michael K. Shaffer. The lecture will take place outside at the Underpass Amphitheater at Depot Park in Downtown Kennesaw (2829 Cherokee Street) on Saturday, April 14, 7:30 p.m.
The event should last approximately one hour. Lecture will be moved to The Southern Museum in case of inclement weather. This is a paid event - cash only at site, credit at Museum. Adults are $7.50, Seniors (60+) are $6.50, Children (ages 4 - 12) are $5.50. Event is FREE for Museum and Kennesaw Historical Society members. The Museum will be open from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to accommodate guests. Lecture begins promptly at 7:30 p.m. at the Amphitheater.
