Hike the park's newest trail to discover where Federals concentrated their fire against the Confederates who were positioned on higher ground. The hike's destination is to the location of what was the 24-Gun Battery during the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain in 1864. An interpretive talk will be given at the cannons. The hike lasts two hours and the trail is 3 miles round-trip.
The hike will leave from the picnic area near the parking lot, across from the Visitor Center. Please dress accordingly for weather and don't forget sturdy footwear.
