Join Family & Consumer Science Agent, Ines Beltran, to learn ways to prevent Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, the majority of people with the disease are 65 and older, but approximately 200,000 Americans under the age of 65 are at risk of early-onset Alzheimer’s. Come learn about the risk factors, how to get started with a healthier lifestyle to age with a healthy brain, and take a personal assessment to determine your risk for developing Alzheimer’s or other types of dementia.
Hosted by Gwinnett County Public Library, in partnership with UGA Extension Gwinnett, this Aging with a Healthy Brain program is free and open to the public. It takes place Tuesday, April 24 at 6:30 pm at our Five Forks Branch, 2780 Five Forks Trickum Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30044.
