The 2018 Big South Beer Competition & Festival will take place on April 14th from 4pm to 8pm at Milton City Hall Plaza, 2006 Heritage Walk, Milton, GA 30004. This event is perfect for the beer enthusiast or for a group of friends that want to spend an evening listening to live music, enjoying local restaurant fare, and sampling amazing craft beer.
“We wanted to create the signature craft beer event in the South. We worked with craft breweries, local beer distributors, and Samantha and Geoff at Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub,” said Chuck Squires, Director of the Big South. In addition to live music, local food, and fine craft beer, there will be a VIP tent and a unique competition for the breweries. The beer competition is certified by the Beer Judge Certification Program, a nationally recognized organization who is the foremost authorities on craft beer. A mobile website has been developed that allows people to conveniently buy the beer they most enjoy at the festival.
Better yet, 100% of the money raised will go directly to Children’s Charities to construct Milton’s all-inclusive play park.
Tickets are $40 for early general admission. VIP tickets are $75. Limited release beers will only be available in the VIP Tent. Everyone at the Big South will receive a souvenir beer tasting glass. Food will be available from Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub and the other local restaurants from the Crabapple Market. Live music will play during the event from Jack's River Band and Process of Elimination.
