Reflexion Recordings brings you another evening of precision electro and underground IDM.
Mr. Myoplast [LIVE]
"With a small, but strong discography on labels like Japanese "Anti-Gravity Device", and UK powerhouse Militant Science, Mr. Myoplast has been on a non-stop quest to spread the sounds of Electro Music to the masses with keen determination.
With the founding of his already legendary Body Control Records, which has been host to some of the great veteran artists like DJ Stingray, Luke Eargoggle, UHU, and Andreas Gehm, as well as having been a platform for new artists making a great name for themselves like Jerry la Flim, Weakmassive, Layup, and Wundertones, its clear that Mr. Myoplast is a force making his mark on the scene with passion and a unique sense for being forward-thinking, while staying closely connnected to his roots in the old school Rave scene and the beginnings of Electronic Music."
Founder of Reflexion Recordings and promotional head runner of local IDM, electro, and techno. Mesa is an electronic artist from Atlanta, Georgia that specializes in atmospheric transcendental techno that trips through the mind and moves the body. All of the productions from his homegrown label 'Reflexion Recordings' are produced on analog outboard equipment to capture the deep, living sounds that stem from our earth and beyond. Mesa has performed in numerous late-night settings, which include local warehouse settings, international festival after-hours events, and regional festival line-ups.
Steve Brown [Greensboro, NC]
Steve got his start in electronic music in the mid 90s djing as a college student at NC State University in Raleigh, NC on the university radio station WKNC, and helped launch in 1996 the AfterHours program as an organized music format and weekly series of shows at the station that endures to this day. While still at NCSU, Steve made several appearances mixing IDM and ambient music in the chillout room at the Babylon Club in Greensboro as well as DJing at the Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill, NC to promote local electronic artists. Upon graduation and moving to Rhode Island, Steve stayed plugged into college radio, djing at a nearby college station, making personal mixes and returning yearly to WKNC each Christmas to host a reunion show, a tradition that has continued to this year, seamlessly mixing ambient, IDM, cinematic soundscapes, tech house, electro, trap, drum and bass and dubstep.
