The Southeast Fiber Arts Alliance (SEFAA) and The Fine Arts Center have joined forces to organize, promote, and host a juried student exhibition of creative works in fiber art.
ELIGIBILITY: Any high school student (9th â€“ 12th grade) or undergraduate/graduate student enrolled in a fiber/textile program or independently pursuing a study of fibers/textiles in the Southeast (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee or Virginia) is eligible to apply.
CALENDAR: Entry Deadline: July 21, 2018
Notification of Acceptance (via email): August 21, 2018
Deadline for Delivery of Accepted Work: September 21, 2018
Opening and Reception: October 5, 2018
Closing: November 2, 2018
Deadline for Pick-up of Artwork: November 16, 2018

Third Place - $300
Honorable Mentions - awarded at the discretion of the juror.
Alice Schlein Award - $500

JUROR: Rachel Meginnes - Based in western North Carolina, Rachel is a studio artist working within the media of textiles and painting. Rachel studied Fibers at the University of Washington and Earlham College and studied traditional textile processes in northern Japan. She was a Penland School of Crafts Resident Artist from 2012-2015.
