Originating in 1962 as a drop-in social center for adults with chronic mental illnesses, CFI incorporated in 1970, and has grown to offer a comprehensive array of services in the psychiatric rehabilitation approach. Our programs are based on the philosophy of recovery and resiliency and operate within a framework of a research-based model of care to incorporate all possible components of the wellness model of behavioral healthcare. Our goal is to provide recovery oriented programming by helping people re-establish natural roles and supports in the community.
