Calling all four-legged and two-legged friends! Children’s Museum of Atlanta is hosting a dog-gone good event on National Dog Day with bark-tastic programming and activities. To celebrate man’s best friend, Children’s Museum of Atlanta is teaming up with Furkids to bring cute, adoptable dogs to the Museum. Throughout the day, families can attend a special presentation with Canine Companions who will share stories of assistance dogs from puppy-hood to hero. Guests are encouraged to stick around for a meet and greet with the furry, helpful friends. In honor of the hound holiday, little ones can dance their tails off at a special storytime with a Doggy Dance-off and create leash holders in the Build It Lab. The Science Lab will also offer a special opportunity to learn about how each dog breed is special and has their own personality traits. While enjoying spending time with new fluffy friends who need a loving home, little ones are encouraged to visit the Art Studio to create celestial prints of the constellation Canis Major that includes the dog star Sirius.
