Bernstein, Prokofiev and Ravel are three of a kind - cheeky, irrepressible, brazen and poetic. Ludovic Morlot conducts this concert with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Sony recording artist Ray Chen, a violinist "to die for" (Huffington Post). Chen plays the smart and chic Violin Concerto No. 2 by "the bad boy of Russian music," Sergei Prokofiev. The program opens with Bernstein's witty "Divertimento."
Thursday evening includes a pre-concert chamber music recital at 6:45 p.m. in Atlanta Symphony Hall. Free for all ticket holders for the October 19 and 21, 2017, concerts.
