The works of artist Die Williams is currently being featured at The Gallery at Powder Springs until November 19, 2018. Die began painting after retiring from a major airline. She considers herself to be a primitive folk artist. She is self-taught and attended a few workshops to develop her craft. As a flight attendant and world traveler, she has seen art through the eyes of many and the art series that she brings reveals the journey of her soul. She enjoys the snapshots of many cultures from her travels and childhood memories of country life. She watched her grandfather work his farm in Arkansas and has fond memories of family members’ fishing from the banks of the Arkansas River. All of these rich life experiences have inspired her to paint a variety of subjects. According to Die, creating art is a spiritual process that is unique to each individual. She seeks to engage the viewer and provide a glimpse into her world; invoking emotions and enriching the lives of others through her vision. Please join us for a reception for Die Williams, which will be held on November 19th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Gallery in Powder Springs, located at 4488 Pineview Drive SW, Powder Springs, GA 30127. It is free and open to the public.
