South Metro Atlanta Tuskegee Alumni to Host Scholarship Gala Benefiting STEM/STEAM Scholarships
Award Winning Author and Business Executive Dr. Michele Wise Wright to Headline Event
The South Metro Atlanta Tuskegee Alumni Club invites the public to celebrate its Inaugural “Golden Tiger Black Tie Affair” Scholarship Gala February 10, 2018,at the Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel in College Park.
The signature gala will feature an electrifying speech by author and Senior Executive Michele Wise Wright, Ph.D. Dr. Wright is the author of the inspiring award-winning book “Dear Success Seeker: Wisdom from Outstanding Women."In addition to being a dynamic author and transformational leader, Dr. Wright is an Electrical Engineering Graduate of Tuskegee University who holds a Ph.D.in Public Policy. Dr. Wright also holds the distinction of being the first African American student at the University of Tennessee’s Space Institute to earn a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management and Industrial Engineering.
Mr. Larry Jemison, Jr., MBA, a powerful and energetic author, consultant and motivational speaker will emcee the evening’s event. Jemison is the President of Atlanta's Jemison Group, and the author of How to Make It in a World That Wasn’t Made for You, and How To Make It, Guide to Getting A Great Job in Any Economy.
The evening's celebration will kick off with cocktails at 6pm-7pm. The star-studded event begins at 7pm and continue until 11 pm. Tickets for the gala are $75.00 and will benefit a scholarship for students in the South Metro Atlanta service areas attending Tuskegee University majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEM/STEAM). The South Metro Atlanta Tuskegee Alumni Club service areas consist of Carroll, Coweta, Clayton, Douglas, Fayette, Henry and South Fulton Counties. The focus of the nonprofit South Metro Atlanta Tuskegee Alumni Club is to promote their mission through scholarship, service, education, unity, and finance.
