Celebrate the National Association for the Education for Young Children (NAEYC) Week of the Young Child at Children's Museum of Atlanta! Visit the Museum from Monday, April 16-Friday, April 20 between 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. to participate in special toddler-centered activities with a different theme each day of the week.
Monday, April 16
Theme: Music Monday
Little ones can grab their favorite instrument and jam out during Toddler Jam! Kids can color to reflect how the music makes them feel or dance with scarves and ribbons to the beat of a favorite song. (Classroom A)
Kids can craft their own drum to practice drumming and counting!
*Tiny Club will also continue as regularly scheduled, with Tiny Chef and Tiny Builder program offerings.
Tuesday, April 17
Theme: Tasty Tuesday
Gather around in Healthyville for a drop-by version of the Museum’s signature Eat a Georgia Rainbow program. Kids will have the opportunity to meet the Children’s Museum of Atlanta farmer and chef, color a MyPlate worksheet and learn all about fruits and veggies that are grown in Georgia!
Little ones are encouraged to paint with their food! Dip vegetables such as corn and peppers and other healthy foods into paint to create unique stamp designs!
Thursday, April 19
Theme: Artsy Thursday
Kids can create their own arts and crafts masterpiece inspired by local artists.*
*Our regular Sewing Thursday program will begin at 1:00 PM
Friday, April 20
Theme: Family Friday
The whole family is invited to rock out during a special themed Toddler Jam where the Museum will play music that was popular when our littlest visitors' parents and grandparents were toddling themselves! (Classroom A)
