This hands-on program is designed to guide and empower everyday people with practical knowledge and skills. Neighbor by neighbor and property by property, we can grow and connect a network of forests big and small. She is a certified Master Herpetologist, Southeastern Master Herpetologist, and Level 1 Venomous Snake Handler. She is passionate about ecological education and outreach, especially in regards to animals typically considered “gross” or “scary”.\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSavannah Tello\u003c/strong\u003e is Trees Atlanta’s Forest Restoration Coordinator and an ISA-certified Arborist. She manages habitat restoration including invasive plant removal at 18 green spaces in Atlanta and East Point. Savannah hosts Trees Atlanta’s Forest Stewardship Training Program every October to educate the public about how to restore their local greenspaces. Before working in forests, Sav spent two years specializing in meadow habitat restoration for Trees Atlanta. Savannah grew up in Fayetteville, GA and got her degree in Biology with a concentration in Environmental Science from Georgia Tech.\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eJosh Jackson\u003c/strong\u003e is a Birds Georgia Master Birder and experienced volunteer Field Trip Leader. Since 2020, Josh has closely observed and learned from birds visiting his backyard and local greenspaces. Josh has been leading regular field trips at Legacy Park in Decatur for the past few years. More recently, Josh has worked to transform his backyard habitat into something that will support and attract a greater diversity of birds.
